Let’s peer into my world and see which Presidents, or presidential styles, Bible characters, and foods I least admire.
Overworking, like this President, can cause one to be so consumed with their life. This can cause one to lose focus as to what they are really supposed to be doing. Illnesses can often refocus that problem, though.
Let’s look at Presidential egos. Maybe we can learn something about egos from them. If not, let’s try turning to a couple Bible characters.
Too often we find fault in those around. It’s like we want them to motivate us in the manner we want to be motivated. Maybe we should be like this President, and this Bible character, and be the inspiration others needs. We might be surprised by the results.
Life is full of choices, like what to believe or not to believe. One Presidential story could have a President landing in hot water. Then, again, it just might have been a dream someone came up with.
Sometimes we forget what we should do first. Like this President and King Asa, we often let our own “wisdom” get in the way.
The great land he envisioned doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Paradise only works when you take the focus off this.
America loves baseball. Find out who was the first President to throw out an opening pitch. Sometimes God doesn’t have to give us answers. Failure is just success waiting to happen.
When this President passed away, the entire nation went into mourning. No Biblical character has ever left a more lasting impression on us after his death. This blog is written in the memory of my Dad: Marion Dean Cruse (passed away February 11, 2021).
Tragedy, among other things, can often trap us into a feeling of disappointment. This President didn’t let tragedy do that to him. In fact, tragedy only inspired him. Lessons from the Bible tell us we need to listen to God, especially in letting Him use us.
