My retirement has arrived, and I wanted to check out how some of the presidents and Bible characters handled theirs.

Let’s peer into my world and see which Presidents, or presidential styles, Bible characters, and foods I least admire.
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8 KJV
Personally, for one of the few times in his life, I think this President lost his confidence in himself and what he was capable of doing. When you are talking to the Great Creator, it is often easy to forget He made everything, even confidence. Sometimes confidence gets broken because Faith and Trust forget about their older brother, Wisdom.
“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” I Kings 4:9 KJV
He would spend the rest of his life trying to convince the world that he really did care. His request is actually a very smart request. That I wasn’t more aware of my surroundings has haunted me every day since.
Here are some fun facts and personal opinions about President Herbert Hoover
“And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.” Deuteronomy 32:44 KJV
Long before Hu-hua acquired his nickname, he was born to Jesse and Hulda. Hu-hua was one very offensive type player. A long, long time ago, in Biblical times, there was a young boy who was the son of a slave. That would also make him a slave. I must confess, though, they have broken my heart many times lately.
List: What similiar trait do I have with Presidents Harding to LBJ
Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and LBJ. These are the twenty-ninth through thirty-sixth Presidents. This is a list of how I think I am like them.
“For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.” Jeremiah 31:25 KJV
He held the hand of his older brother and younger sister. What would happen them? He no longer had his family. He was headed into the land of the great and scary unknown. That more than likely translates into a better life for one’s self.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” I Corinthians 15:55 KJV
On February 27, 1951, Minnesota became the thirty-sixth state to ratify the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution. We never know when that dark stranger will be at the door.
Traffic congestion is one of those big things that really test your Christianity. So there you have it, two rival Presidents and two polar opposite disciples, who are very unlikely partners, working together for the better.
